Mountain bikes

Real mountain bikes for real mountain bikers! From a few hundred to a few thousand we can help you with everything. There isn’t anything we don’t know about riding the South Lakes and we’re completely independent so we can tell you what works and what doesn’t. Right now we can’t get enough of the Cube AMS series.

Road bikes

If you come to us you’ve got the choice of 
TREK, SPECIALIZED and CUBE. 
BIG Names under one TINY roof With Trek we stock a range from the Trek 1.2 to the Trek Madone, the BEST range of road bikes available with most coming in some form of compact, double or triple options. 
Specialized have the Allez, Roubaix and Tarmac the later 2 used by the Pros so there’s not much wrong with these!

Hybrid bikes

If you just want a bike for getting around, and you’re not going to ride up Hardknott or down the Walna Scar, it’s probably a hybrid you’re after. They combine the comfortable riding position of a mountain bike with the light build and fast skinny wheels of a proper road bike to give you the best of both worlds, and we’ve got some really good ones from Trek and Specialized.

Commuting

Whether you’re trying to shave seconds off your commute, pack in the miles or just get to work without needing a shower, we’ve got all the bikes, bags, mudguards, coats and lights you’ll need. 700c disk wheels for your mountain bike? Sturdy potholing wheels for your Fred Whitton bike? A coat that you can wear to work without looking like Lance? Dayglo singlespeed wheels and a bell shaped like Bart? Yup.

Bikes for kids

Kids bikes have got to be cool, for the kids, and they’ve got to be tough, reliable and safe. That means proper brakes, parts that keep working and wheels that can take some hard treatment. A lot of kids bikes are disposable rubbish, but not ours: we only sell proper bikes for proper outdoor kids at sensible prices.

Workshop

We’ve got one of the Greatest (in capability) and Smallest (in Size) Workshops in the Business! We offer lots of services from building wheels to servicing forks and hydraulic brakes but we’ll also fix a puncture in a buggy if you want.
